Veterinarian

I graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Melbourne in 2007, where I then moved with my husband to South Australia and worked in a large mixed practice.  A change in lifestyle saw us pack everything that didn't fit into our ute into storage, rent out our house and drive up the east coast of Australia, eventually stopping in the Whitsundays at Airlie Beach where our first daughter was born.  I continued to work mixed practice in Proserpine, and performed a few locum stints in Qld and NSW before we moved down to Brisbane.

Living in Brisbane was a complete change of pace, however it was where I started working entirely with small animals. After the arrival of our second daughter and while still on maternity leave we decided to make another shift back up the coast to Gladstone in 2013.

In Gladstone, I continued to work with small animals, thoroughly enjoying caring for all my furry patients, and getting to know my clients and their family members (both of the 2- and 4-legged kind).  After 5.5 years in Gladstone, I took a couple of years off from clinical practice, performing the occasional locum stint along the way.

I completely missed the interactions with clients and their pets, so have now returned to clinical work albeit a bit different now working in a mobile capacity.  This brings the opportunity to provide relaxed low stress consultations/treatments for my patients and their owners in the comfort of their own homes.
